funny video..?!

I was surfing the net, searching for mooting video, which I hope can somehow give me some insights on what mooting is all about.

However unfortunately, I came across to this one funny video. I thought it might be fun to share it with others.

Well, enjoy it then.

Ouh, by the way, this is not another video on monkey reply, name callings or such because this recording happened nowhere near the Malaysian Parliament *thank God it was not*..

HaHa..

Just a genuine reminder, for those who think they are homophobic, I would advise you not to watch this video, as I think you might find it rather disturbing..

heHe

This is a boring one..!!

It has been raining for the past few days. One might not like the rain, but I certainly do. This certainly marks the end of winter!! Yeay!!

Now finally, I no longer have to wear all those bulky winter clothings which always make me look like a little penguin [ a friend told me that i look like one whenever I walk in that winter clothings.. damNNN. Am I that horrible?? huhu].

The flowers are now already started to bloom, the birds are chirping everywhere. but one bad thing about it? those slimy worms!! cacing!! are also now can be found everywhere. yucks!! they are sooooo disgusting. omg, does this also means that all sort of creatures which were hiding/hibernating [I dunno where they all have gone to before this, just presuming they were hiding somewhere] during the winter will now all come out? Omg, does this also includes all the scary snakes?? aiyaksss.. I do not mind if they wanna come out now, as long as they won't take me as their prey. erghh!!

Whatever it is, I like the weather now.

Anyway, finally, after having some troubles with my laptop, now I am back to business. Apparently what happened before this was that I indeliberately deleted one of my Window file [ how could that ever happen huh?!]. Well, my laptop was previously infected with lots and lots of spyware that made it very slow. That somehow always irritates me, and I lost my temper when it got stuck while I was doing my reading [ where I lost my reading page!!]. So I continuosly pressing the keyboard [ that was the way of how I expressed my anger towards this stupid laptop!!], and suddenly it appeared to me that I have unintentionally deleted one of my window file.. aiyakss.. pretty stupid huh? Yeah, silly me!!

But now, the problem is solved when I reformatted my laptop. yeay. But too bad that I still cannot reinstall microsoft office document into my laptop. Any idea how can I do that? I would not be able to do my essay [ forget about the computer lab or the library, I won't go there..hehe], not until I have installed microsoft office [word especially] into this laptop. Huarghhh..

Urghh.. Happy Spring Break to everyone!!. And for those who have gone back to Malaysia [x ajak pon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!], buy me something please.. instant laksa kerr... Hehe.. I have been craving to eat Malaysian Food [esp laksa] for quite a while now.

I can't wait for suMMer!!!

Laptop rosak

My laptop is still in bad condition, but this does not prevent me from doing what I wanna do. Hehe
Anyway, I am currently busy with my assignments I have 3 weeks to work on my 3 essays, and I am just about to start doing it now. HaHa crazy. But I still have the time to browse news on the web, and I found rather one interesting article on Malaysia. Have a look at it. Click here

Cool huh? But I hope this plan will really work out. But I doubt it will.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Tomorrow, 26 March 2006 is Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to my beloved mom!!

HeHe.

I would never have the gut to actually call her and say that to her. So I guess this would be enough. Don't worry mom, I'll buy something for you before I come back to Malaysia. [HaHa, kasih sayang bleh di beli dgn harta ker???]

I do love my mom, and my family. It is just that I can never show it to them. I feel like sooo weird, and odd if I actually wanna say that to them. Don't you think so? Or maybe it is only me? Well, different people have different ways of showing their loves to the loved one, and to the family.

Well I do have my own way too. But maybe it is just unconventional. HaHa.

Pissed Off?!

It's saturday. I had to work for today. There's nothing wrong with me working on saturday. The sun is out and thank God it is not raining, and not too cold for today. I got a special text message for an old friend of mine, and I was at the ym chatting with my friend. Everything went well in the morning. And then I left my room to work.

Here is where the things get nasty. There was this one guy, my colleague, keep on pissing me off.

First of all, he just cannot stop putting his hands on my shoulder whenever he talked to me.Ok fine, I know he is much taller than I am, but he did that not only once, but thirteen times. And i felt sooo bloody annoyed everytime he did that to me. I do not think it is in his culture (He's not british anyway) for people to touch mere strangers when they are talking to them. It is not something that I am accustomed with either. So, hands off me please..

If he wanted to be friendly, talk with me nicely, not by touching me. Urghhh!! I hate it sooooo much when people touch or put their hands on my shoulder. Maybe it's just me, who always easily get intimidated whenever people do that to me. But still, I do not like it when people do that to me.

Ouh, just an additional info, in the UK, tort law does cover the act of battery. This means that you can file a lawsuit against another person if he/she touches you withot your consent, even if the touching is not a sexual one. But uh, if you put yourself in the public, or participate in any kind of sports [ e.g rugby], that means you have consented to be touched by others. HeHe.Cool isn't it? Easy money, I like it. Manipulating the law for my own good. [typical lawyer]. HeHe

And secondly, he was being such a lazy freak [mind the language]. He kept on pushing for us to have a break, and asking us to slow down a bit, while there were still lots of laundry work need to be done. Damn!! He gave this one lame excuse to us, that he thought that we were working too fast [ in another word, productive!!].

Omg, what is wrong with this guy. It does not to take a genius to figure this out.

If we were working too fast [ as what he alleged we were], means that we can finish all the work a.s.a.p, and that also means if we could finish our work early, we could have a longer break!! Otherwise, if we keep on working at a very slow pace [mcm siputtttt!!!], we could never finish our work on time, and we might not even have a break.

Luckily I managed to keep my temper. I just do not want to spoil everyone's day by getting pissed off to anyone. But unfortunately for him, because of what he did, one girl got pissed off, lost her temper, and actually argued with him, asking him to stop whining, and start doing his work. Yeay!! But too bad the confrontation lasted for not too long. HeHe. Otherwise, I could have been able to entertain myself by seeing other people quarelling and arguing in front of me. HeHe. I do derive pleasure from other people's pain. That sounds so evil huh?Hehe.

Urm. I am working again for tomorrow. With the same group of people, in exception for Rachel, where she is replaced by Dan. That guy is gonna be there tomorrow. I hope he won't be acting like what he did for today. Otherwise, somebody might get angry [I am not saying me]

HeHe.

Prison Break

I have just finished watching prison break. And for those who have not watch it yet, better don't start now, because it is very addictive!! I woke up at 6 this morning, intended to do some reading, but ended up watching the whole 4 episodes of it, and still, I can never get enough of it. I swear this thing is much better than porn. Damn!! It is soooo damn good that I cannot help myself but to watch it. * warghh, matilarr x productive lagi arini*

Anyway, about Prison Break, it is a story of a guy, Michael Scofield who is desperately trying to get his brother out of Fox River State Penitentiary. His brother, Lincoln Burrows, was previously convicted of the murder of USA Vice President's brother *here the politics come in* and is waiting to be executed. Michael believes that his brother was wrongfully convicted, and that there is a conspiracy to frame his brother for the murder. Ok, enough with the summary of story, I cannot write this whole crap, otherwise I might end up spoiling you guys with the story. You can read them all by clicking here.

And for the rest of this entry, this could only be understood by those who have actually watch the show, otherwise you might not understand what the hell am I talking about.HeHe

There is one episode *episode 14 if I can recall* in that series where I find it quite irritating, and rather not making any sense at all. It was when Veronica,Lincoln's attorney, who also happens to be his ex girlfriend, unnecessarily publicised herself in the television, even when she is well informed that there are secret agents looking to assasinate her for her deep involvement in that case. And what more stupid is when she boastfully *merely exaggeration* claimed that she has got the evidence that her client [Lincoln] is not guilty, when in fact, she has no hard evidence, not at all to somehow prove her allegation.

She knew that someone wants her to be dead, someone very powerful indeed -->> she exposed herself to the public, into the television some more!! ONE STUPID ACT.

She does not have any evidence at all. All based on circumstantial evidence, not anything which relates to the murder itself. But still, she claimed to have one. [ I still wonder how did she obtain her law degree, perhaps by seducing her law professor I guess]. Yes, she has a contact who promised her to provide her the information which could solve the case, but she should have not make it public, not until she actually has got the evidence!! STUPID LAWYER!!

And one more thing, the lawyer guy [I cannot really remember his name], was shot at the back by one of the agent. He was shot at the back! He was hospitalised! He lost lot of blood! But hey, he looks perfectly okay when he was in the court room, as if nothing really happened to him before that! Or maybe as a lawyer, he has already get used of being shot, stabbed and etc. [everyone hates lawyers remember!! there is one stupid english proverb which says All something something goes to heaven, and all lawyers go to hell.. daaaaaaaaaaaaaa]

Anyway, I have no idea why am I making an entry on this. Maybe because I feel so bored like shits that I have no better things to do.HaHa.

Whatever it is, I still like the show though. I like watching how Mr. Genius [ Michael Scofield] tries his very hard to find a way to bring his brother out of the prison. But to those two lawyers, pleaseeeee..pleaseee stop acting like idiots, or you guys might end up being killed and no longer being able to help the poor Mr. Lincoln.

If you know someone wants to kill you, the last thing that you wanna do is to expose yourself and make the person knows where the heck are you. Go and hide larrr!! Or at least try to stay below the radar.

Omg, I have finished watching the whole 15 episodes of Prison Break in less than 5 days. Yeay!! I cannot wait to watch the next one. HeHe

P.S. I am fully aware that everything in the show is not real, they are all just an act. HeHe. It's just that there are certain parts of the show which annoy me so much because it does not make any sense at all.

On another completely different matter, If you have not watched V for Vendetta, I'd say get your lazy ass off the chair, and go to the cinema, the sooner the better!! Watch the movie. It is a very good story indeed, not too many actions, but I like the story.

Just watch how a freedom fighter comes out to overthrow a totalitarian regime which have been oppressing the people for way too long [ does thing ring a bell to you? does it happens anywhere near you? oppressed? totalitarian? lack of freedom of speech?Do these words mean anything to you? Where in the world could you find a place like that? A regime like that?]

Hey hey, I am not talking about Malaysia okay. Malaysia is now fully liberated. We all now can freely voice out our opinion without any worries at all. Betol kan? * matillarr cover up takut kena tuduh menghasut*

hhehe

Warwick Games 2006

It has been a while since I last posted something on this blog.
I was not really busy, for God sake I would rather do blogging than studying, because I am just not yet in the mood for that. But it was the internet connection, which was fluctuating for the past few days which have stopped me from doing so. Damn!! I still wonder why is the internet connection is sooo damn slow even when everyone, almost everyone has gone for their easter break. Whatever..

By the way, we had Warwick Games last weekend. It was a great event, with large number of participations from other universities. Urmm, I cannot really comment much on the games because I did not really take part in any of the sports *daaaaa.. I hate football sooo damn much*, but still, I was there as one of the volunteer for the event.

But here are some of the pictures which I have taken during the event itself.

HaHa. I know this is an entry on Warwick Games and I know I am supposed to have at least one picture of people playing games on the field. But too bad that I do not have any of it.HeHeh. I just could not be bothered to go outside and stayed in the freezing cold weather just for the sake of watching a group of people running here and there chasing a stupid ball * HaHa, no offense to football lovers, but I am just not into it*, where in the end I might end up getting stroke or something. HeHe.

Instead, I opted to stay at the comfy bar, watching formula 1 on TV and had some free food to go along with.

Yeah I know I am such a lazy ass. But i still did my work, by making sure that all the food and beverage were being sold and all the volunteers were being fed.

Overall, the event went well, just as we planned it to be. Congratulations to the MSA committee and thanks a lot to all of the volunteers. We love you warwick!!

The Jokers

HaHa..

Have a look at this recording of a debate in the Dewan Rakyat during last November session. It is hilarious to know that there are these kind of people in our Malaysian Parliament. They act immaturely, quarreling against each other, in front of international visitors, and bring nothing but only shame to the whole nation.

I wonder how did they get elected by the people in the first place? How can MPs talk nonsense and wasted too much time arguing on such a trivial issue in the Parliament?

Malaysians have surely wasted their energy and effort by voting these people to be their MPs, but in the end the people they voted for turned out to be only a joke.

Need not to say much. Just go and have a look at this recording, and give your thought on it.

click here to download the video

And special Thanks to Adam for making an entry on this, and also to Jeffooi for sharing the video with all of us.

By the way, to the MPs, yeah, the one who talked crap when he cannot provide the answer, please stop beating around the bushes and cut out the crap because it only causing sore to my ears and at the very end of the day, this will only humiliate yourself.

My advice? Next time, get your homework done!

And there goes taxpayers money, down into the drain.

P.S; No offense to anyone okay. I am just voicing out my humble personal view.

And guys, if you wanna watch more of this, you can also click here and here
But I swear to God, it will only depress you more, as you soon will begin to realise of how pathetic Malaysian parliament could be.

P.S; No offense to anyone okay. I am just voicing out my humble personal view.

Cheers to everyone.

freedom of speech?!

It was when I read Adam's comment on freedom of speech that I suddenly remember about the recent publication of cartoons satirising our prophet Muhammad which have offended the Muslims all around the world, and that is including me.

I am not going to give a detail account of it, as I guess everyone by now already knew of what really happened. But I just could not agree with the reasons behind the publication of the cartoons.

Jyllands-Posten, the newspaper which was the responsible for the publication of the 12 Muhammad cartoons defended their actions in the name of freedom of speech. I say, go to hell with it! It was not really the matter of them exercising their freedom of speech, but it was more of them taking the opportunity to condemn the Muslims and the religion itself. If they really wanted to exercise their freedom of speech, they should have publicised the cartoon satirising Jesus when they were "invited" to do so. But when Christoffer Zieler, the Danish cartoonist offered some cartoon depicting Jesus back in April 2003 to Jyllands-Posten, the editor rejected it, fearing that it might trigger and uproar in the country, and even in the Europe itself, and here, I quote, words by words of what he said to Mr. Zieler;

I don't think Jyllands-Posten's readers will enjoy the drawings. As a matter of fact, I think that they will provoke an outcry. Therefore, I will not use them.

Surprise. Surprise. Since when the editor concerned about public reactions? Why not the newspaper just publised the cartoon in the name of freedom of speech, as what they did in the case of Muhammad cartoons? Why did when it comes to condemning Islam and the Muslims, the Danish newspaper can easily do that, without any hesitation, in the name of expressing the freedom of speech, but when they clearly did not have the gut to do so towards Jesus, and towards Christianity itself? Why must they pick on the Muslims? And Islam?

So it was not about the freedom of speech after all isn't it?

How could they be so unfair towards the Muslims? Could it be because the Muslims are the minority in Europe, so they do not really give it a damn of how the Muslims would react to that?

It was not anymore the issue of freedom of speech, but it was indeed to the fact that the Muslims in Europe are way being overpowered by the whites. Just because that the Muslims are the minority, it does not mean that we should just be neglected like that.

I am not saying all people are the same though.

I have few acquaintances who happen to be the British people. They still treat me very nicely though the know that I am a Muslim *daaa.. isn't that soo obvious, my first name is Mohd, and my surname is Abdullah*. But they seems to be confused a bit about our religion. They think that the Muslims are over reacting to the publication of Muhammad cartoons and they think that it is the Muslims "culture" not to depict or satire the prophet in any way. It is not a culture for goodness sake, it is about the religion who does not allow us to do that. And when the religions says that is wrong, no question about it.*Aha, tell that to myself!*

I tried to explain this, but because I know that I do not know much about Islam, I did not have the gut and just kept my mouth shut. The last thing that I would want to do is to entangle myself with their questions on Islam, and to look stupid for not knowing much about my own religion.

My easiest escape route is by saying " I believe in moderation.. blablabla"

HaHa.Crap.I know.

But in my own personal belief, I do believe in freedom of speech, but not a total freedom, otherwise it will only bring us into the state of anarchy. In line with freedom of speech, we should also take into account other people's sensitivity. And once again, moderation is the best policy.

Ok, enough talking crap. I wanna have lunch now.

Penantian Berakhir

The first thing I did when I woke up this morning - called my brother to ask him about his SPM results.

His results, erm how do I say this, a bit devastating for me. But he sounded okay on the phone, as if nothing happened. The same goes to my dad. Omg, this is so not fair! When I got a horrible results for my trial SPM, my parents cannot stop blabbering to me. But when it comes to my brother, they just sat there quietly! Damn! Whatever, just hoping that he could still gain a place at any local IPTA or polytechnics. Or maybe to join the ATMA. Whatever he thinks suit him the best.

Anyway, I also called my junior from koleq, asking of how well did they do for their SPM. I was relieved to hear that the boys did quite well this time, with 50 students scoring straight A's, 16 straight A1 with the Min grade of 2.01. Not bad huh?

Congratulations guys!!

And for my brother, wait until i get back home!! *mencari rotan*

I am hoping that whatever you choose to do next, you do it full heartedly!! Not because you want to follow your fellow friends, and not because ayah tell you to do so.

women's rights!!?

I happened to read this one article from BBC News the other day. It was on a statement made by Ms. Marina Mahathir, on the recent Islamic Family Law Act. I am no expert in Sharia Law, and I also know not very much of it, nor do I have the intention to take up the subject during my law study. Hence, I am here not to give my thought on that particular law, but instead, to comment on the statement made by her.

In that article, she outspokenly said that Muslim women in Malaysia are regressing, and are continued to be oppressed by the patriacrchal society. The current Islamic Family Law Act, she argued, will only continue to recognize men's domination in the society, and hence a step backwards for the Muslim women's rights in Malaysia.

For the record, Ms Marina Mahathir is one of the prominent members of Sisters In Islam (SIS), which is the leading Muslim Women's rights group in Malaysia.

Funny thing though, because she said one thing, but then she acted in another way. She said that current legal system in Malaysia does not provide adequate protections to women's rights. But he so called liberating Muslim women's group did nothing much to change it, well at least not in this one issue.

Do you still remember the case of Habsah Jaafar, a Muslim woman who had to quit her job as a hotel manager when she refused the order from the Hotel's administration of not allowing her to wear her veil when she is working there? At one time, this issue attracted enough attention from the public, and even from the cabinet Ministers.

But where was Sisters In Islam during this time? Where was Marina Mahathir? Where did the so called women's rights proctectors hid to when this issue arose not long ago? In this case, Habsah Jaafar a Muslim woman who insisted of practising her religion, was being discriminated by her former employee. I thought Sisters In Islam would be the first one to come forward and to give some moral support, but apparently they have been keeping in silence, even until now.

So what is Sisters In Islam actually? Do they really intend to protect the rights of Muslim women in Malaysia? You judge.

"As non-Muslim women catch up with women in the rest of the world, Muslim women here are only going backwards," Ms Mahathir said in the article. Yeah sure, i couldn't agree more with her. Muslim women in our country are so going backwards, that is why we have women MPs in the Parliament, Huge number of women's participation in employment, large enrolment of women into local universities and so forth. And ouh, we also have our own the Ministry of Women and Family Affairs in Malaysia, that is why we are so taking a step backwards huh?

Come on Sisters In Islam, Muslim women in Malaysia enjoy more rights that any other women in other Islamic world. The government is trying to satisfy this women's rights group, but apparently it can never be enough for them. All they can do is to complain whenever the authority comes out with a piece of legislation which the believey as not to be "liberal" enough for the women.

Yeah, women, they are very hard to be satisfied. Heh. That is why men should quit trying to satisfy them.

The Big Day?!

Well, i almost forgot that SPM will be announced today.
I still remember that during my year, my batch achieved the best *if i am not mistaken* SPM result ever for Koleq. On that morning, we first gathered in front of the Pavillion before we all together walked passing the guard house, later the F4 blocks with all the students were standing on both sides of the road, congratulating us for getting such result.
When we reached Dataran Pemimpin, the "ceremony"kicked off with a short speech *was it?!* and later on a teacher *once again i cannot recall of his/her name* started calling the names of all the top scorers. That is pretty much that I can still remember.
Ouh, I still remember one more thing. A junior told me that I look so devastated and upset on that day, despite the fact that I did okay in the SPM.
I have my own reason to be ashamed of my result though, especially considering that I was a Malay Language Debater for the school team, yet I did not manage to get a good result for Malay Language. What a shame!!

HaHa. That was two years ago. Or was it four? Well, I have almost forgotten of how many years I left the school.

Anyway, I have been sending lot of messages to my lil brother at home, asking what does he thinks he will get for his SPM results. And he always comes out with this one typical answer

"dapat masuk matriks atau politeknik pun jadi lar"

I hate it when he gave me that kind of response. So I have some tricks at hand. I told him that he should not expect to get any souviner when I came back this summer if he eventually does not do well in his SPM. See how clever could I be sometimes?! *wink*

I did not really mean of what I said, but I just do not want him to just easily give up like that, and not to have high ambitions in life.*Ouh shit, now I sound more like a dad huh?!*

Whatever it is, I am praying and wishing him the very best of luck. I want to be amongst the first person to know his result. And dik, no matter what you get for your SPM, you will still get your souviner. See how kind could I be to my little brother? So who says that I do not care about my other siblings huh?!

It's 730am in Malaysia now. Should I call him now? Or should I be more patient, and just wait for him to message me? At what time will the result come out anyway?

I am waiting patiently..

Good Luck bro!!

Aim for the money !!!

Today was my second day at work.
and for those who still have no idea what kind of job am i doing for this vacation *just for the sake of not wanting u guys to get the wrong idea!!*, i am now working at the warwick hospitality as casual assistant.

Haha. casual assistant?! It sounds better that it really is. But basically, all that I have to do is to clean up the bin, mop the floor, check the toilet, do the laundry and even to wipe the ass, oppss, I mean the wall. yeah. wipe the wall! It sounds pretty hard at first, considering that I am not the type of person who loves to indulge myself into that kind of work. For the record, I don't remember when was the last time i cleared the bin in my kitchen and I have kept my unwashed t shirts and jeans in my laundry bin for almost two bloody weeks *stinky me*!! Haha. Yeah, my life is pretty mess up. But somehow, there was something that motivated me to apply for the job and will keep on encouraging me to stay with the "lousy" job.

And it was the money.

When it comes to the money, I would do anything for it, well, most of anything for it, as long as it does not contradict with my life etiquette. HaHa. I know that sounds so lame.

Call me a materialistic person, but who does not love the money? Especially considering my huge debts and crucial financial situation, getting some extra income is what I need for, in not letting myself to plunge into futher debts.

One would wonder, how could I get myself into these debts. I am PNB scholar *not to sound pretentious, but for the record, we, the PNB scholars get the highest allowance amongst other Malaysian scholars in the UK*, and I do not live in London, or even Birmingham, two big cities in the UK, that could cost the high living expenditure. Honestly, I have no idea where all of my money have gone to. *sigh*

Maybe this time I should manage my finance MORE properly. NO more shoppings!! NO more dining out!! NO more phone calls to Malaysia *this one I could do easily by now*!! NO more travelling *ouch*!! Or maybe I should start budgetting, if that could ever work for me.It sounds rather too ambitious, because I know I can never do that. But whatever it is, I will put my very best effort not to overspend, not this time!! Smack me if I ever screw up again okay!! I am sick and tired of getting these mails from HSBC telling me to pay my debt and blablabla!!

Any idea of how to sort out this financial problem of mine? Haha!!

Well, I hope I could manage my finance wisely this time, without having to sacrifice much of what I am doing now.

It has been three days since I started working, and to my surprise, I checked my payslip, and guess what, the salary that I got for the past three days is more than enough to repay my debt with HSBC. Haha, there you go!! Take back ur money and stop bugging me!!

Opss, I forgot that I still owe people some money. Haha, I shall figure out that later then.

Tomorrow I am working, as usual, trying my very best to stick with the mundane job and not to quit from it!!

I am still new with this blogging stuff. Jadi Minta Tunjur Ajar (",)

first entry

omg,
i now have a blog
it is just so unbelievable.
well, i know it is not a big deal for someone to own a blog, but i never thought that i would have the courage to create one.
whatever.
i am here anyway.

a story of my mundane life! just watch it out.
