Manchester Malaysian Night 2006
Well, I guess there is not much left for me to say, as Imree has already given the full account of the Manchester Mnite 2006 in his blog. But for the sake of updating my blog, I shall come out with few comments on the event itself. =)
The Dinner. Urmm....... I just cannot find the right word to picture this. Was it mediocre? Urmm, I guess it was slightly above mediocre. I know they have put great effort for this, but it could have been better if there were more volunteers helping out for the dinner, so that the evening could have been carried out without any major delay, especially with the food serving. As one of my friend said, we paid good money for the dinner, hence we were entitled to attain good service in return. =)
The Dances. OMG!!! They were sooo great, particularly the Indian Dance. It was properly choreographed and was very well executed. The same appraisal also goes to other dances as well, as I can see that they have devoted such an enormous effort for this event. Overall, the dances were fascinating, but it could have been better if they could improvise the sumazau dance.=)
The PLay.I opt not to comment on this one, as Imree has already elaborated on this particular part of the performance.
The Dikir Barat. It was hilarious, yet educating.period.
The Post MNite Party. We sure had fun there. Just look at the pictures below.
Overall, the MNIte and being in Manchester itself was great, and I certainly had a good weekend.
Thanks for such a great hospitality, especially to Dodo, Imree, Wani and Jeff. =)

This is what happened when you had too much drink. Kidding lol. Actually gyl was not drunk at all during the party. =P

actually banyak benda leh aku comment pasal manchester mnite
and yes, mmg banyak review yg kureng bagus pasal mnite tuh
but just for the sake of not hurting others, i chose not to comment on that lerr.
erm.. ape2pon, the dinner was the worst kot i guess. it was not the food, but the service which let it down.
in term of the performance, yes, manchester mnite is not comparable to either IC or Warwick MNite, but i say why don't we just let them stand at their own standard, no need to compare with other universities. And plus, this was the third time they held the malaysian night, so I could consider that their performance was still okay.
But certainly not the dinner.:P

well, this lately i have the tendency to be extra cautious on what i say, just for the sake of not getting into any trouble. that is why i have stop writing and condemning the government policy, the human rights thingy and etc.

i believe i saw my 1/4 head with 'cekak' in the second last photo. It was my first time attending msian nite so i have no expectation.Overall it is okay but a lot to improve.MCs should be more prepared + the play makin lama makin dragging. Oh well, insyaallah Edinburgh will organise a Msian nite for the first time next year.-jemputlah datang k.

hehe.couldn't agree more. but i am really glad coz finally someone had mentioned on this. i could never have the guts to say this, considering some of the people who were involved that night are my friends.
