weekend updates (2)

I just came back from the library
currently taking a short break in my room.

Anyway, earlier when I was in the prayer room having my lunch, I happened to meet two Muslim guys from the Middle East, one from Iran and the other one from Iraq. The funny thing is that I was trembling while I was eating and chatting with both of them. Erm.. trembling is indeed a too strong word, but generally I was feeling uneasy while I was surrounded by them, so I ate as fast as I could and left that Iraqi guy eating all alone by himself. HeHe.

Haihhh.. I tried so hard not to be prejudice against others, but it proved that it is not that easy to do so. For heaven sake they are my Muslim brothers, but still I have no idea why must i feel uneasy and a bit scared when I was with them. And they certainly did not do anything that ought to make me feel uneasy, but still, just because they are from Iraq and Iran, I simply felt uncomfortable with that. I guess it was my subconscious mind who have already made the not-so-good impression on them and keep on telling me to stereotype all Iraqis and Iranians as the same - they are all extremist. That was why I decided to run away just now.And that is Sooooooo wrong.I guess I have to live in their shoes, only then I would be able to understand their situation better.

Hurrmm.. and now I feel guilty for what happened.

faisal,it's ok 2b careful with strangers but it's really wrong 2 stereotype ppl based on their ethnicity.. :p

hey hey i won't do the same ok! i'll just sit there and have a nice chat with them, enjoying each and every moment while offering them red label shots. haha.

by the way, according to ihab, there's no moderate, simple or extreme muslims. there are just none! according to him too, it's like action potential, ALL OR NOTHING.

what's your comment?
